The time has come once again
That dreaded death in season
Onto this soul another stain
Without real rhyme nor reason

These feather fall with grace
Eyes glimmering less and less
Lines fast growing on this face
Inevitability I can't repress

The flickering flames slowly die
My eternal smile now a plain line
My lips can't even ask "why?"
But the choice has never been mine

Here I finally rest my weary body
In layers of memories, emotions and guilt
As the sky darkens gloomy and shady
I lie helpless in the nest I have built

Then the flames started once more
Englufing me in the fiery rage
Sparks and flames dancing galore
Awaiting my book's brand new page

The pain I've grown accustomed to
Disintegrating as I slowly fade
I know it's what I have to do
A new life for the old, I trade

After the inferno's gone
Settling of ash and dust
I am once again reborn
To live life as I must

In time I'll regain my power
The strength to walk and fly
In my newfound glory I shower
And will myself not to cry

That death has been but one of many
Each one awakening some part of me
A burden I myself can only carry
The single release to break me free
